Korean Counter-Culture Artist Debuts New Track, With Interactive Video Showcasing Chuck II Shield Canvas Footwear And Apparel as Part of His Journey
Tackling the elements head-on, Korean rapper Keith Ape partners with Converse to support the launch of the new Fall/Holiday 2016 Counter Climate collection– a new apparel and footwear collection, which uses high tech fabrics to deliver comfort, whatever the weather. Labeled as “South Korea’s first real rap star” by VICE, Ape broke through globally last year as a counter-culture star with his viral smash hit, “It G Ma.”
To bring the partnership to life, an interactive music video for Keith Ape’s new track ‘Diamonds,’ invites viewers to experience a night out with Ape, who’s clad in the Chuck II Shield Canvas and Converse Parka from the Counter Climate collection. Viewers join Ape on a surreal journey from an underground market, all the way to a parallel universe. Directed by BRTHR, the video is an immersive experience in which viewers can trigger hidden experiences outside of the main narrative.
The Converse collection of weatherized footwear, apparel and accessories is being released simultaneously alongside the drop of Keith Ape’s hotly anticipated new single, “Diamonds”, from his brand new project called ‘Self Portrait’, releasing September 1
